"PIERROT"

The second play of the festival and the first pantomime this year was “Pierrot”. The performer was the guest from Bulgaria Alexander Illiev, the eminent world-class pantomimist who presented us the story of inner turmoil and dilemmas. Inspired by the character of Pierrot of the Italian commedia dell’arte, this work depicts the great change which our character underwent – from roughness to self-discovery and calmness. With the help of the best practices of the profession, Illiev leads us through the fine elements of mime art. And thus, with a heavy storm and rain, the first day of the festival concluded.
