The 44th International Festival of Monodrama and Mime has officially started last night in the packed Pinnochio puppet theatre. After the opening ceremony and the opening performance, the host Biljana Djurovic, as every year, greeted the audience and invited Borislav Balac, the director of the festival, to address the audience. Borislav thanked the audience, donators, and benefactors of the festival and wished everybody a successful festival. After that, the host invited Elizabeta Djorevska to complete the important traditional part of the ceremony of receiving the keys of the city of Zemun from its Mayor, Dejan Matic. Finally, Elizabeta Djorevska officially opened the festival with her poetic and moving speech.
